IMAGE MANIPULATION

image manipulation is an application of image editing techniques to photographs in   order to create an illusion or deception

  1917, the 1st image manipulation called photographs of fairies by Elise Wright(16 years old) and her cousin Frances Griffiths(10 years old)

last time i research about image manipulation i found this: 2006 Lebanon War photographs controversies...

here is some information about  it...

       • the photo is presented as part of Reuters' news coverage of the 2006 Israel Lebanon conflict and

       • One of the photographs showed the effects of an Israeli airstrike on area of                              suburban Beirut.

      • The photograper ADNAN HAJJ - manipulated using Photoshop software to show more and darker smoke rising from the buildings. 

     • ADNAN HAJJ denied that he manipulate the image.he said he was trying to remove dust marks and made mistakes because of bad lighting conditions .
